Meet our NEW General Manager – Frank Trotman-Golden

We have a NEW General Manager here at Koori Radio and Gadigal Information Service. Some of you may already know Frank from his work at other arts organisations or from his many years volunteering as a presenter here at Koori Radio.

Frank is a Koori from north-west NSW and is excited to take on a leadership role with Gadigal Information Service. Frank has come to Gadigal from Australia Council for the Arts where he worked in the role of Projects Officer for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Arts sector. Frank co-hosts the nationally syndicated radio program, The Indij Hip Hop Show on Koori Radio and manages his own contemporary music business.

“I believe in the value of art and culture and am honoured to work in a role that strives towards ensuring the vibrancy of the cultural inheritance for future generations of Kooris. I have always been passionate about working for and with community and am dedicated to facilitating the telling of Indigenous stories and the sharing of our worldview.

Gadigal has been a touchstone for me over the past 15 years. From hosting me for my CDEP in the early 2000’s, to being my venue of choice for workshops I’ve facilitated, it’s where I do my radio show, and where I spend my Survival Day… Gadigal is part of my community as I am part of its. I feel very privileged to be afforded this opportunity to take on a leadership role within the organisation and community.”–Frank.
