THe Yabun 2019 line-up is...🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥Thelma Plum, Isaiah, Shakaya, Roger Knox, Kutcha Edwards, Green Hand Band, Sonboy, Rebecca Hatch and the YBD mob! Opening Ceremony kicks off at 11AM with the first band starting at 11:40.
It's an action packed week leading up to Yabun!
Events kick off Monday Jan 21st at 7PM with Yabun Movie night at NCIE and the screening of the documentary 88. For more info, click here.
On Tuesday Jan 22 there is an Elder's Community Lunch at Redfern Community Centrebetween 12PM and 2PM.
On Thursday Jan 24 there is a Kids Disco at Redfern Community Centre from 5PM 8PM.
On Friday Jan 25 in the evening there is the official Yabun opening with the Sunset Ceremony at La Perouse, It starts at 3PM and goes until 8PM. For more info click here.
This is followed by the Yabun Preparty at the Factory Theatre frm 8PM until late, featuring Shakaya, Trials* (A.B. Original), Nooky, Solo* (Justice Crew), Sonboy, Rebecca Hatach, with special guests Thundamentals. * DJ Set only. For more info or to buy tickets click here.
Then of course there's the BIG event, the Yabun Festival which starts at 10AM and goes until 7PM although many of you will no doubt be arriving with the march which starts from Hyde Park at 11AM and finishes at Yabun at 1PM.

The Program Manager is responsible for managing the day to day operations of the station.
Under the direction of our CEO, the Program Manager is a contact point for internal and external stakeholders and key media organisations. This position manages the day to day staffing, the weekly programming schedule, broadcasters, sponsorship, and training opportunities.
The Program Manager is also responsible for the implementing and monitoring the community radio codes of practice, GIS policies and procedures and other relevant legislations relevant to community radio operations.
Gadigal Information Service (GIS) is a leading Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander arts/media hub based in Redfern, Sydney. Established in 1993 GIS obtained its full time broadcast license Koori Radio 93.7FM 2LND in 2001 which broadcasts 24/7 to the Greater Sydney region and simulcast as on DAB+ (Digital Radio), with live streaming via the internet to the world and on our standalone app.
GIS utilises radio and the arts to engage and inform on the issues and concerns affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and other marginalized people living in Sydney.

To go with the YBD album launch a music video was shot for the song that ended up becoming the title for the album - Don't Kill the Vibe.
