Yabun internship available for students

For the last three years, Yabun Festival has offered internship opportunities for students to gain practical experience working on one of the nation's largest Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community events.
We would like to offer this opportunity to all students, regardless of area of study.

The countdown is well and truly on for the 2016 Yabun Festival at Victoria Park, Camperdown (January 26). Yabun is one of the largest Aboriginal gatherings of the year and features a great lineup of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander live music performances, oration, arts, traditional dance and culture, panel discussions and a wide range of stalls.

Help us plan our Mardi Gras after party!

As part of the 2016 Mardis Gras celebrations, Koori Radio in partnership ACON Aboriginal Project will be holding a special Klub Koori Mardi Gras after party event. 

We’re looking for creative individuals to volunteer as members of the Koori Radio Mardi Gras Working Group. The purpose of the working group is to assist us with the creative direction of the after party. Members will be involved in developing a theme and creative design structure for the event and assisting with artist/performance selection.


Members of the Working Group will be asked to commit approximately 8 hours per month which will involve meetings at the Gadigal Information Service building in Redfern as well as engaging with other Working Group communications (email, conference calls etc).

Who we’re looking for

We are particularly seeking people for the Working Group who are members of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander LGBT community, and those who have an interested in the creative arts.
