This is not so much an album of the week, but a song of the week. Almost 250 years ago, Captain James Cook and his men shot the Gweagal warrior Cooman, stole his shield and spears, and took them back to England, where the shield and spears have remained ever since. Sharon Carpenter and her band Baraya, highlight the campaign to return these significant artifacts and objects that were stolen in the first wave of colonisation. The track (below), entitled Bring Back The Gweagal Shield features an all-star cast and includes a duet with artist Richard Green.
