The Minjerribah Moorgumpin Elders in Council Director Dale Ruska joins Koori Radio News to call for the support of the establishment of a national, independent First Nations-led truth-telling and healing commission to address all forms of First Nations disadvantage.

Dale says the failure of the 2023 Voice Referendum has exposed high levels of racism across Australia and the re-appeal of treaty and truth telling pathways in different jurisdictions has emphasised the need for a national commitment to reconciliation and truth telling as a way forward to healing.

The Minjerribah Moorgumpin Elders in Council are calling on the community to sign their petition asking the senate to give legislative priority to initiate a national, independent First Nations-led truth telling and healing commission of inquiry.

You can go to MMEIC’s Facebook to sign the petition. https://truthtellingcommission.good.do/firstnationsledtruthtellingcommission/first-nations-truthtelling/
