The multi-award winning program is driven by a team that’s committed to playing both established and up-and-coming First Nations musicians, giving artists new to the industry the chance to have their music played. Koori Radio has launched and supported the careers of many famous Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists.
Host Lola Forester is a Yuwibara/Australian South Sea Islander and the presenter and producer of Blackchat. Lola has travelled to South Africa, USA, Mexico, Vanuatu and beyond in her time as a radio producer. Lola’s extensive career as an Indigenous media specialist in politics and world current affairs has seen her attention in particular on Black Lives Matter issues for people of colour.
